Iowa State Fairgoers will have 64 new menu options to try this summer.

In celebration of National Fair Food Day, fair officials on Tuesday released the always-anticipated new foods list, which includes everything from Amish Donuts to Raspberry Chipotle Grilled Cheese to Walleye on a Stick.

The 2023 Iowa State Fair runs 11 days, Aug. 10-20, with the annual parade kicking things off Aug. 9 in downtown Des Moines.

Location: The fairgrounds are located at East 30th Street and East University Avenue in Des Moines

Dates: Aug. 10-20, 2023

Hours: Fairgrounds are open each day of the fair from 8 a.m. to midnight, and buildings are open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thrill park hours include:

Admission: Adult advance admission tickets are $11 in advance ($16 at the gate) and $7 for kids ages 6-11 ($10 at the gate). Ages 5 and under are free. Purchase tickets online at iowastatefair.org, or beginning July 1, tickets will be available at participating Iowa Hy-Vee, Fareway and Price Chopper locations. The Iowa State Fair ticket office also opens on July 5 for walk-up orders.

From The Garden, a hands-on learning exhibit, to Little Hands on the Farm and Vet Camp, there are many volunteer opportunities to volunteer at the fair. Visit iowastatefair.org/volunteer for more information.
